Returned Sunday from our Spring trip to California to visit Alex. We had lots of good food and outings with him, and Mike & I had a fun dinner with good friends.

No trip to CA is complete for me without a visit to Laguna Beach -- preferably with lunch on the patio of Hotel Laguna -- and then a dinner in Santa Ana at Zov's, an amazing restaurant I've watched grow for many years. At one time it was also a favorite of Dean Koontz, who dedicated one of his books to Zov.
