A dear friend departed this world today after a long and valiant battle with cancer. Pat Markley was courageous. Her spirit was indomitable.
She was the loving heart of her family, a giving, supportive wife, mother and grandmother. She was just as giving to her friends, and I was proud to be one of them. A fellow public relations practitioner, she was someone whose work I respected. Pat was a valued colleague.
My heart goes out to her family. I will miss her.
