New story on the website. It's titled The Pinch and is set in the 1878 yellow fever epidemic in Memphis. The Pinch was the neighborhood bordering the Mississippi River in the north section of town. The name originated from the pinched look of the underfed immigrants who settled there. This story follows the tragedies and blessing of an Irish family.
